Project Title: Smokin' Hot Stuff Link Fired Up Fortunes & Fired Up Fat Stacks
Role: Primary Artist | Proto-Lead (Operating as Product Owner)

Project Overview
Smokin’ Hot Stuff Link was a pivotal project that required balancing the high-equity expectations of a major licensed IP with the technical constraints of cabinet hardware. Operating with full autonomy, I served as the primary creative and technical bridge for the project, taking direct accountability for the product’s visual ecosystem from early-stage conceptualization to market-ready delivery. My leadership on this project—specifically my ability to resolve cross-functional friction and architect innovative technical solutions—directly resulted in my subsequent promotion to Art Lead.

Cross-Functional Product Ownership:
Orchestrated constant feedback loops across the entire development team (Producers, Designers, Mathematicians, and Developers). By establishing transparent communication channels, I bridged the gap between the Game Designer’s vision and the Developer’s technical limitations, ensuring that high-complexity features (such as the accumulator and bonus choreography) were executed effectively and on schedule.

Technical Architecture & Optimization:
Faced with the limitations of a proprietary engine, I optimized the animation pipeline by identifying and deploying a custom pipeline combining Spine, After Effects, and a proprietary engine, enabled by bespoke proprietary scripts. This innovation allowed the team to deliver high-fidelity, long-duration character animations without exceeding file size or memory constraints—elevating the visual quality of the product far beyond standard cabinet limitations. To ensure long-term operational success, I formalized this new workflow by creating comprehensive internal documentation, establishing a repeatable standard that improved studio-wide asset handoff efficiency.

Proactive Problem Solving & Autonomy:
Established a reputation for leadership by identifying and resolving technical and interpersonal bottlenecks without the need for management escalation. I consistently brought "pre-solved" solutions to leadership, demonstrating a mature approach to risk mitigation and team synchronization that fostered stakeholder trust.

Studio-Standard Impact:
The visual systems and game design pillars established during this project have been adopted as internal benchmarks for future projects. The title remains a stable performer on the casino floor, recognized for setting the operational standard for the studio's titles with similar mechanics.
